Mary has been leading yoga classes since 2017. Her 500 hours+ of training in yoga, somatics, and various other movement modalities is ever present in her teaching. Fundamentally Mary's sequences are built from the ground up, based in learning theory with an understanding of the principles of neuroplasticity and embodied anatomy. She prefers to teach at a more moderate pace with a focus on exploring options and allowing time and space for your body to let you know what it needs. Her classes are generally approachable for all levels and you'll be sure to discover something new in any class you take with her.
Mary spends most of her time outside the studio with friends and family. She loves traveling and learning, whether from reading, podcasts, or trainings. Her interests vary widely from sports (Formula 1 Racing, Hockey, and Baseball) to true crime to psychology to strength training to simple pleasures like enjoying good coffee, music, and food.
Mary has been at Vasa since its very beginnings. Having been a student of Lisa's since 2012 "it just kind of worked out" that she became part of the Vasa family helping out at the boutique and now assisting in managing the studio and leading classes.
