Join Tiffany for a special yoga class October 21st for Depression Awareness Month. Thankfully the world is becoming more open in talking about mental health issues, such as anxiety, but we still have much more work to do on breaking the stigma around what it looks like to live with any mental health condition - and this gathering is looking to do just that.
To open this class Tiffany will share a bit of her own story and her passion for helping people cultivate tools for coping and wellness. We’ll ease into our practice with a grounding breath practice to calm and center ourselves. Then we will flow through an all levels vinyasa style yoga practice with a lovely yin/restorative finish and short guided meditation. We’ll have a quick debrief after our practice and you’ll leave with handouts containing at home practices and information for accessing additional support (for yourself or a loved one).
Save Your Spot Here - Included in all studio memberships, $30 for non-members
"There’s no toxic positivity or preaching. No “love & lighting” away your disorders in this workshop. My goal is to make you feel seen, heard & feel safe to just - be you. To practice bringing your true self wherever you want without hiding away when you feel too much. I’m not a doctor or therapist and I do believe therapy & medication to be helpful at certain times in life, so I encourage the utilization of seeking out these amazing people to see if that can be helpful for you as well as using breath & movement as a coping tool. I like to think of incorporating yoga as a means to build your toolbox of coping strategies. We try lots of coping skills (tools) & see what works & if something isn’t working, rather than throw it away, place it in another spot for possibly trying again later. You’d be surprised at how things/emotions/mind set can shift & something that didn’t work previously, just may work later on. All we can do is try. Hope to see you on your mats!" - Tiffany
