Philip began studying Yoga in 2003 as a means to improve his rock climbing. Not only did he experience improvements in his physical strength and stamina, but he also found a deep mental clarity and connection to himself– that same connection he experienced on the rock was there on the yoga mat and beyond. Yoga opened his eyes to alternative ways of healing the body, which led him to explore many ancient physical and energetic healing practices and take up the art of Thai Yoga Massage.
In his late 20s he began experiencing a number of health concerns ranging in symptoms from dizziness, extreme fatigue, allergic reactions, aches and pains as well as major acid reflux. After exhausting all tests recommended by doctors, he basically was left with the answer of “ its all in your head.” This led him to work with many alternative healers. Philip was introduced to different ways of helping heal the body through energy work, NAET, TFT,EFT, Reiki, massage, breathwork, meditation and Yoga. Over the years I’ve been gradually healing my body, heart, and mind. Yoga has been a constant driver in that healing journey.
In addition to teaching yoga in the studio he is a husband to an amazing wife and business partner as well as a father to two young active children. He also enjoys running a private Yoga and Thai Yoga Massage practice, camping, practicing BJJ, listening to audio books and learning new ways to help heal the body.
Helping people feel better brings him great joy whether that’s just getting you to move in your body with more ease, calm and relax the mind through meditation and breath work, or help heal deep trauma through Thai Yoga massage and energy work.
