Tiffany began her yoga journey in 2007 as a means to help ease her anxiety & depression symptoms. She began yoga in her living room & created a daily ritual of practicing poses & connecting to her breath. It wasn’t perfect, she didn’t even have a yoga mat at first, just herself- on her carpet, in her tiny apartment & a dvd. She quickly fell in love with not just the physical poses but a connectedness she felt for the first time in her life; with herself. Time & time again, yoga proves to add magic to her self care practice ~ enhancing the quality of her mental health by remembering to breathe, that everything is temporary & to move with intention; our energy can become balanced.
She studied under Iyengar teachers for 3 years at UCR & began teaching yoga in 2010. She then went on & received her 200-hour Hatha YTT with Western Yoga College in 2013; practicing Mysore-Style Ashtanga.
After a break, in 2019 she decided to look for a studio closer to her work in Redlands. She found Vasa, out of all of the places she practiced, she never felt more at home & safe to be herself, than at Vasa. In 2021 so she completed another 200-hour YTT at Vasa the Studio to ignite her practice again & began teaching again this past year! Through Vasa, she has made the BEST friends of her life & loves getting to know more names & faces as she works behind the scenes; checking people in & getting to be creative with projects for the studio.
With numerous styles of yoga, she combines a variety of her training into her classes. She believes each class should feeeeeel good. Incorporating periodically browsing the body, pausing & flowing to practice finding that peace amidst the chaos, to get that heart beating, hopefully create a smile & always bringing a sense of playfulness into class rather than perfection.
She always strives to create a welcoming vibe to any & ALL who come to class - no matter what. She has plans in bloom & would love to work with mental health clinics, programs, teens, drug & alcohol recovery centers & prisons. As a trauma informed yoga instructor, finishing her training with Zabie Yamasaki, she hopes to help others feel safe & heal as she too learns to ride these unpredictable waves of life.
